Some Steps to Prevent and Resolve Resistance to Change
i) promote mindset shifts (from 'how do you manage resistance to change?' to 'how do you build readiness for change?)

(source: Lisa Kempton, 2024)
ii) build change readiness (this requires an approach that involves an open and transparent communication strategy which engages people in the change process, active listening and responds to feedback)
iii) prevent barriers to change (identify and understand potential barriers that different impacted stakeholders could experience; take action to mitigate or eliminate these barriers as early as possible)
iv) resolve barriers to change (identify and understand the root causes of any barriers; determine how to resolve the barriers and take appropriate adaptive action)
