Change Management and Technology

Introduction
Change professionals need to continually upgrade their technological skills sets with the latest technology
"...in the practice of change management, integrating and using technological advancements is critical to drive successful change initiatives......must keep up with technology trends that are impacting your work..."
Theresa Moulton, 2024
Skills are needed to handle technology (3)
i) Strategic technological perception (this starts with understanding and having an awareness of which emerging technologies will handle an organisation specific needs, ie communications, data analysis, etc)
ii) Digital fluency (need to be proficient in digital tools, platforms plus the overall digital ecosystem including AI, big data analytics, automation, digitalisation, etc; need to be put into language that different stakeholders understand, without overwhelming and/or confusing them; should provide more accurate information but need to be careful of inaccurate information such as misinformation, disinformation, fake news, etc.)
iii) Evidence-based decision-making (use of helpful, accurate data in decision-making, ie actionable insights around change management strategies and plans from interpreting data analytics; less need for assumptions based on high ambiguity; better able to understand and handle risks that were previously unknown:
"...developing countermeasures to the information that that data  provides, we can reduce or eliminate the possibility of derailing the change initiative..."
Theresa Moulton, 2024
Furthermore, by automating the data, you can spend more time on other challenges, etc.)
Summary
"...change management technology is only as effective as the human beings who use and leverage it..."
Theresa Moulton, 2024
"...failing with one technological change makes it more likely that future attempts at technology change meet greater resistance and lower adoption rate, given the lack of confidence caused by previous failures..."
Theresa Moulton, 2024
"...the most powerful computer ever invented is the human brain...'
Theresa Moulton, 2024
