Introduction
Human connectedness is important for the performance of people in organisations, ie their performance improves significantly if there are good, healthy human connections.
But you need to check with staff how they want to be supported by management.
Some questions
For staff
1. Do management actions align with employees' needs?
NB every employee is unique, ie they can be motivated and supported in different ways.
2. What are your preferred ways to feel supported and motivated?
3. How do you prefer to receive feedback?
4. What is required to help you thrive at work?
5. Is your manager's response addressing your needs?
For managers
1. How are you 'showing up' for your employees?
2. Are your responses aligned to your employees' needs?
3. What are some actions that depict support at is best?
4. What needs to be changed to support your team is better?
